PM Shehbaz directs to expedite work on solar, wind power projects

Lahore: The work on solar and wind energy projects has been ordered to be expedited by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. On Sunday in Lahore, he was serving as the moderator of a high-level meeting on renewable energy sources. The promotion of power generation using solar and kinetic energy sources, according to the prime minister, is the government’s top priority. He asserted that low-cost, environmentally friendly electricity will be produced by renewable sources. The Prime Minister expressed regret that the previous administration had not finished the solar and kinetic projects that had been started under the PML-N.

He said that the criminal negligence and incompetence of the previous administration are having negative effects on the entire country.-N.

The 10,000 MW government solar power project, according to the prime minister, is currently in full operation. He claimed that using solar power would allow us to avoid spending millions of rupees on pricey imported fuel. Additionally, the prime minister ordered that all barriers to solar and kinetic energy projects be taken down. The capacity of solar and kinetic energy in the nation today, as well as any stalled projects and developments in this area, were thoroughly explained to the meeting. Apart from the government’s 10,000 MW solar power project, the meeting was informed that a total of 6,000 MW of inexpensive andenvironmentally friendly electricity can be produced from other proposed kinetic andsolar energy projects.
