Iranian envoy calls on defence minister

Reza Amiri Moghaddam, the Iranian ambassador, praised Pakistan’s defence capabilities during a visit with Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the minister for defence and defence production, on Wednesday.

According to a news release, the defence minister stated that Pakistan and Iran have friendly and brotherly relations that are fostered by their long-standing religious and cultural connections.

Khawaja Asif reaffirmed Pakistan’s position on the Palestine problem and emphasised the early establishment of the Gaza ceasefire in addition to the resolution of the Palestine issue.

The Minister emphasised the significance of the Joint Border Commission and stated that Pakistan had made all required steps to control its borders and that the two countries should continue working together on the matter in the coming days.
