On Wednesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif gave his word that the government would not compromise on the safety of the Chinese labourers working in Pakistan.
During a meeting with a delegation from Shanghai Electric Group, which was led by Chairman Wu Lei, the prime minister declared that the government will make every effort to facilitate Chinese investors’ expansion of ongoing projects.
He pushed the Chinese companies to invest more in the coal mining industry and convert their power plants from using imported coal to local coal.
The Shanghai Electric Group’s projects were presented to the prime minister during the meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz stated that Pakistan aimed to further advance its friendly ties with China, citing cordial and long-standing relations between the two nations.
